How to Correct Online Shopping Warnings and Errors

NOTE : It is important to note that all online shopping sites must use cookie/session to hold shopping items and digital certificate to encrypt private information.

When an Internet Explorer or a Netscape Navigator browser is installed by a manufacturer, all its security settings are often set to Default Level. This should not introduce any of the symptoms below. They are only introduced when users chose a stricter security level, intentionally or accidentally. If you experienced any of the following symptoms when shopping on this Web site or other Web sites:

  1. Receive alert that your browser's cookie/session is disabled.
  2. Items missing from the Shopping Cart or Checkout does not show items in the shopping cart.
  3. Receive certificate alert that the "certificate name does not match" even though View Certificate button shows the certificate is valid and not expired.

you may correct them by following the instructions below for the browser you are using. To determine the browser type and version number, go to Help from the menu bar and select About option.

WARNING : The following instructions will only guide you to setting your browser to the manufacturer's Default Levels. If you desired a stricter browser security level, doing the following can cause you to lose that security level. The instructions below cannot possibly cover the detail of all options on browser security. You will have to determine what specific options to check/uncheck to properly shop online without getting unnecessary warnings or errors. Please refer to Help menu on the browser.

ADVICE : You can always set the browser security back to the desired level when you are done with a shopping. When your browser is set to accept cookie/session without warning, we advise users to only shop at Web sites you can trust.
